As MSPs scale their operations, managing individual VMs across multiple customers can become time-consuming and complex. Azure policies at the customer level offer a solution to simplify and automate this process, ensuring consistent configurations across VMs without the need to configure each one separately.

Azure policies includes

• Snapshot schedules and retention for multiple VMs in one go, rather than configuring them individually.

• Override settings at a VM level, providing you with flexibility to adjust specific settings if needed.

• Broader support for VMs and full system recovery will enable MSPs to perform full VM and disk backups while addressing challenges like missing encrypted files, striped RAID configurations, and SQL VM data.
